You Can Achieve The Unachievable

FIRSTLY you need to aim beyond what you are capable of.

You must develop a complete disregard for where your abilities end.

Try to do the things that you’re incapable of.

If you think you’re unable to work for the best company in its sphere, make that your aim.

If you think you’re unable to running a company, make that you aim.

If you think you’re unable to be on the cover of Time magazine, make it your business to be there.

Make your vision of where you want to be a reality.

Nothing is impossible. ~ Paul Arden

-

Golden words by the great Arden, “Nothing is impossible” … that’s it!

From my point of view, the first key for achieving the unachievable is “trusting yourself! … believing in it!”

why not to fly like birds?! one day, the human being wasn’t able to imagine if a human can fly like birds, but Abas Ibn Fernas didn’t give any matter to the word “impossible”, didn’t give any matter to his limits! RIP Abas Ibn Fernas …  YOU CHANGED THE SHAPE OF THE WORLD. today the flights don’t even need a pilot!

So, How Good Do You Want To Be?

*Note, this is a series of posts, it is recommended to read the last post first, if you didn’t read it.

All of us want to be good at our jobs, but how good do we really want to be?

  • Quite good.
  • Good.
  • Very good.
  • The best in our field.
  • The best in the world.
Talent helps, but it won’t take you as far as ambition. (That’s what i tried to say at the start of this post)
Everybody wants to be good, but not many are prepared to make that sacrifices it takes to be great.
-
To many people, being nice in order to be liked is more important. There’s equal merit in that, but you must not confuse being good with being liked.
-
Most people are looking for a solution, a way to become good.  There’s no instant solution, the only way to learn is through experience and mistakes.
-
You’ll become whoever you want to be.
-
Mistakes are your credit in life, are your privileges over others. Mistakes are the point where people take different paths, some people stay crying beside their mistakes and failure, and decide not to try again, not to fight again as not to fail again.
-
On the other side, the others take their mistakes as points of strengths, studying, analyzing and learning from their mistakes, one day, they’ll succeed and become GOOD and SUCCESSFUL.
-
Thomas Edison wake up one day, had his breakfast, decided to invent the electric light, and had his dinner in the same day on the light of first electric lamp in the world.
-
bullshit! Thomas Edison is really one of the great men who changed the shape of life. BUT, how many times Thomas Edison tried and failed? Oh! Sorry! I meant “How many times Thomas Edison tried and learned from his mistakes?”, Thomas had 1000 unsuccessful trials before inventing the electric lamp, and after each trial, he was simply say
-
Well, here we are! we just proved that this is also wrong way to invent what we all dream of.
-
Learn! Learn how to enjoy your failure! Know that, this is the human being nature, always remember that success always comes after many many unsuccessful trials.
Write! Write your mistakes and put them in-front of your eyes as not to forget them in the future.
Remember! Remember Thomas Edison after each trial! YOU’LL BECOME NEW THOMAS ONE DAY!

Do You Have A Goal?

-

Your vision of where or who you want to be is the greatest asset you have.

Without having a goal, it’s difficult to score. ~Paul Arden

Although the author mentioned that “It’s difficult to score”, I see that “It’s impossible to score”, after mentioning that the most important step is “wanting to change”, we have to mention now that wanting something without putting a goal to achieve it is totally useless and leads to big fat fail;

-

“I want to lose weight!”

-

This is great, this is what do you want from your heart, but this is not a goal.

Here’s a good tip for goal setting:

-

Set SMART goals!

You have probably heard of “SMART goals” already. But do you always apply the rule? The simple fact is that for goals to be powerful, they should be designed to be SMART. There are many variations of what SMART stands for, but the essence is this – goals should be:

Specific; not Fuzzy one.

Measurable; so, you can say anytime “I’ve successfully finished xx% from my goal”.

Attainable; Make sure that it’s possible to achieve the goal you set.

Relevant; Goals should be relevant to the direction you want your life and career to take.

Time Bound; You goals must have a deadline.

-

Let’s see how should the previous hope be modified to be a SMART goal

-

“In order to lose weight, my goal is to be 75 KG by the end of next November”

-

Do you want to change yourself? So, do you have SMART goals to change yourself?

Who Do You Want To Be?

Nearly all rich and powerful people are not notably talented, educated, charming or good-looking.
They become rich and powerful by wanting to be rich and powerful. ~ Paul Arden

-

“by wanting to be rich and powerful” … the first and most important step on the road of change is “wanting to change”; this deep inner need to change is your engine on the road, is your weapon fighting your obstacles while moving forward.
-

“I want to be successful”
“I want to be the best in my college”
“I want to work in Google”
“I want to have my own business”
“I want ….”

-

Who do you want to be? pick up a pen and paper -may be google document :D -
and start thinking; “Who do i want to beee?”

-

You must not let the life decides for you! simply, you’ll become one day who you want to be today, nothing else.

-

Don’t let this post pass without starting to answer this question.
